CHARITY

*THE EVENT HAS RAISED OVER £10,000 FOR MARIE CURIE. THANK YOU!

In our first year we raised money for DAC club member Annalee Paterson who was diagnosed with Cancer. We would like to continue working with Marie Curie to help raise money for the fantastic work they do.

In the first year the event and its participants raised over £7500. Sadly, Annalee lost her battle with Cancer during the first week of opening the inaugural event. Now more then ever we would like to continue raising money for Marie Curie and put on a great event. Robert Paterson and his family continue to raise money and be a part of the event

In 2023 we would like to keep our charity work going and we will be raising money for Blood Bikes Cumbria.

Blood Bikes Cumbria is a Registered Charity 1159026 established by local volunteers formed as medical courier service to deliver essential blood, urgent medical supplies, free of charge and out of hours for the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust between premises in North and West Cumbria and hospitals/laboratories in the Newcastle area.

Saving lives…

In critical situations, blood or other medical items need to be delivered urgently in order to save a patient’s life. Blood Bikes Cumbria, with their distinctive livery and narrow profile, can quickly get through busy traffic to reach their destination. For bulky items, or in extreme weather conditions. We use cars to ensure our service is available every day of the year.
